Financial Planner

A financial planner can help you assess “the big picture” when it comes to money matters. They can help you plan for unexpected costs related to your prostate cancer, and help you find sources of income you may have not have considered. Financial planners can help ensure that your financial goals are being met in the face of a cancer diagnosis.16

Wellspring Money Matters

This is a resource provided by Wellspring, a patient support and advocacy group. The Money Matters Resource Centre has information on government income programs, community resources and support to help cancer patients cope with the financial difficulties that can come with a cancer diagnosis. Social Worker

Professionally trained as a counsellor, a social worker can help prostate cancer patients and their families during difficult times. A social worker can also help direct you to assistance with personal care, as well as with matters related to emotional, financial, legal, personal care, and housing problems.18
